Mike Uva is currently a sports anchor/reporter who works at WACH FOX in Columbia, SC.
He began his career covering sports while as a student-athlete at Assumption College before working as a high school sports correspondent for ESPNBoston.com. There he was able to learn from some of the hardest-working high school reporters in the country, leading him to a job as weekend sports anchor/reporter at WXVT-TV (CBS) in Greenville, MS.
Since landing his first gig in TV, Mike has been fortunate to cover events including the College Football Playoff National Championship, Sugar Bowl, NBA Playoffs and the SEC Women's Basketball Tournament Championship. In addition, Mike's work has been seen nationally after his video of 55-year-old Joe Thomas Sr. becoming the oldest running back to play in D-I college football history was picked up from outlets such as CNN, NBC, ESPN and the NY Daily News.
An AP award winning sports anchor, Mike is a native of Peabody, MA and currently resides in South Carolina.
