The Lightning would go onto win the series 4-3, enroute to their first - and only - in franchise history. 3) Before the NY Rangers 1994 Stanley Cup Championship, the Rangers last title came in 1940. At that time, there were only (7) teams in the NHL.
4) In 2012, the LA Kings won the series' first (3) games. They were the first team to achieve this feat since the 1998 Detroit Red Wings. The Red Wings went onto sweep the Washington Capitals, 4-0 - the most recent sweep in Stanley Cup history.
