Former Assumption tight end Scott Simonson suffered a mild-concussion in the Oakland Raiders' second preseason game last night versus the Detroit Lions. After making a 24-yard reception, Simonson received a helmet-to-helmet blow from a Lion's defender inside the 2-yard line, dislodging the ball and forcing his helmet to come off. Simonson left the game and did not return and his status for the team's next preseason game in Green Bay next Friday is uncertain. Earlier today, Simonson told me, 'I'm good. I just got knocked out."
